Tom Berninger, Pastor
Pastor Tom planted the seeds of Lincoln Park Abundant Life Worship Center back in 1995, with a guitar strapped to his back and ten brave souls gathered in a living room. His guitar is still in his hands every Sunday morning, but his mission to renew the broken, bring healing to marriages and inspire the younger generation has grown, thanks to his vision and the faithful servants that God has planted in his church. Pastor Tom is best known for his sense of humor, creativity, willingness to be silly-stringed, sound counsel and passion for teaching the truth of God's Word.
Prior to pioneering the Abundant Life Worship Center in Lincoln Park, Pastor Tom was the youth Pastor at Nutley Abundant Life Worship Center. Pastor Tom and his wife, Karen, have been happily married since 1985. They have two adult children, Lauren and Thomas.
Karen Berninger, Administrative Director
Sister Karen shares her husband's vision for a family-oriented, community-serving church and has been actively involved in the church's growth over the past 20 years. As a spiritual mother to many, she has a heart for nurturing and ministering to women and children who have not experienced a love like Christ's. Sister Karen oversees the event planning committee, teaches the H20 kid's church class (ages 7-9), and orchestrates our teenage affirmation services. She also teaches a women's bible study every Thursday morning at 9:30am. When not keeping her husband's corny jokes in line from the front row, she can be found solving problems or climbing the attic stairs in her favorite pair of heels.

Rosemarie manages the day-to-day operations of the church office, and we can’t imagine where we’d be without her. From finances to email reminders to that always-just-vacuumed rug, she organizes all the often overlooked details to ensure that our behind the scenes operations run smoothly.
